Follow this order to get a badge:

______a.)  Contact the badge administrator LeRoy Huenefeld-(lhuenefeld@aol.com), your name, social security number and date of birth. He will submit this to the Collier District School Board.

DO NOT GO YOURSELF TO THE DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD GO THROUGH LEROY HUENEFELD

______b.)  Then immediately go to the Central Hub and follow the fingerprint directions and get and appointment through the link on the GNOA Central Hub. You make your appointment with the place (it is currently a UPS store near the hospital) ONLINE! Our GNOA vendor number is CC1209 or if you are having problems with that scroll down through vendors to Greater Naples Officials Association. You will need to pay online with a credit card $96.35.

Within about a week your LeRoy will go pick up your badge at the Collier District School Board and call you. DO NOT GO YOURSELF TO THE COLLIER DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD.

_______4. ORDER YOUR GEAR

There are several suppliers but we like to use Fred at Purchase Officials in the FT LAUDERDALE OFFICE not the 1800 number. That number is 954 990 5806. Fred will know exactly what you need for Naples to get started. Soccer uses jacqueline@scoresports.com. _______5. JOIN THE ARBITER-  http://gnoa.arbitersports.com/

Make sure you accept an invitation to join the ARBITER. This is the ASSIGNING DEVICE WE USE TO GIVE YOU YOUR GAMES. You must accept the invitation and click READY TO BE ASSIGNED. If you have a conflict at a school like my child goes there or went there in the past four years, my wife teaches there, etc. ...you need to block that school. Your assigner can help you with that.

THE GAMES COME TO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITHIN 24 HOURS ACCEPT OR DECLINE THEM. YOU MUST LOOK AT YOUR EMAILS DAILY DURING SEASON TO SEE IF YOU HAVE NEW GAMES ASSIGNED TO YOU.

_______6. SIGN UP FOR REF PAY ON THE ARBITER

Go to REFPAY.COM and sign up with your bank account information and social security number to get paid. You will get paid about every month give or take a little time.

_______7. ATTEND EVERY MEETING AND TRAINING SESSION

Take the time to learn!  It takes years of work to become proficient at this not a month, not a year, but years of work to even be considered good at this and even then you will never officiate a perfect game. Be patient in your progress.

_______8. BE PROFESSIONAL AT ALL TIMES

Accept your games quickly. Be properly dressed in a clean uniform. Be ahead of time not even on time. Communicate well so everyone knows you are reliable and you will be there on time. Treat every coach, administrator, athlete and fan with respect even if they don't treat you professionally all the time.

_______9. HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE GAME, THE ATHLETES AND YOUR FELLOW OFFICIALS.

After you do this for a decade or longer you will learn one thing "It's not about the games you have done but the people you have met along the way."
